How Many Judges Are At The Travis County Jail?

There are 15 city judges that work for the city of Austin, and these judges are not elected as the county, or district judges that work in the daytime, these are employees of the city of Austin, and they rotate shifts at the Travis County Jail.

They are Municipal Court judges, and each day there are three shifts at the jail for the judges, eight hours long. The first judge’s visit shift is from 7 am to 3 pm. The second judge’s shift is from 3 pm to 11 pm. And the last shift is from 11 pm to 7 am. All are available at the Travis County Jail, all available 24/7.
